We were very lucky to meet the good people of Hammerdown Construction.
It was actually thru the Office Manager Pat's daughter, Lonnie, who works for Kemp Bros, Construction, at the Hoag project.

They were in the process of planning a new business office on their existing property.
We started with the phone system, which lead to data storage, then allowed us to bid on the project. Which allowed us to show the savings between using a standard digital Vertical SBX IP 320 phone system, running across SIP lines, instead of using a straight IP Phone system.
This Telecom choice Vertical SBX IP 320, allows the client to save nearly $ 5,000. dollars, while allowing for the addition of Voip directly to the phone system if and when needed in the future. Mean while, we still get to use the VoIP SIP system for the incoming lines, which saves money.

Once everyone sat down, looked at the price differences and the fact you'd loose no functionallity by using a standard digitcal phone system, the difference in price was compelling.

We got the project, which allows us to wire the building for both data, wireless and phone.
The wireless was a little tricky due to the building shape and material.
You're looking at a building with solid concrete walls and mylar tinted windows all of which either blocks or reflects wireless signal.
Our way around this was to add POE Wireless access points into the buildings ceiling area, which would hid the device, while allowing us to get very good wavelenght measurements thru the building.

During the planning phase, data storage was a topic, we were asked for a server storge system, but chose to go with a NAS system, which would allow us go centerlize data storage, and plan for off-site online backup systems. This choice would give them the security of centeralized data, while allowing them to save between $ 2,000. $ 4,000. dollars depending on which server equipment and OS was used.
